I removed gifs from my previous posts, because I was applying for a job in gamedev and I wanted this blog to look more serious, as I included it in my resume. But that’s not the case anymore and I can be silly again ecksDeeee
Are you 12 or what?!
In contrary to what you may think, I’m 25 and not 12, and for the last few months I’d been looking for a job in gamedev as a QA Tester. I sent my resumes to few Polish companies (both outsource ones and developers) and one of them actually replied. It was CD Projekt Red. The guys known for games like the Witcher, the Witcher and the Witcher. I was super excited! Continue reading →
I’m sorry that I have to tell you this, but because of my last exams and MA thesis that needs to be written, I have to slow down with gamedev until June ends. I want to take two weeks off and focus on finishing all my university things before graduating.
It doesn’t mean that I’m not going to do anything at all. I keep working on a new design of UI elements and I’m currently testing it in-game. I can only do minor stuff for that time and also expect the next devlog to be released in the first week of July.
It took me some time, but it’s finally there! This update is quite big, because a lot has happened since the last one. There is a new NPC, there are trees, bridge and a prototype of new UI. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
I plan to upload the next update between 9th and 12th June. It’s not going to be as big, because next month is going to be really busy for me, unfortunately. I have to write my MA thesis ASAP. My tutor and parents are expecting me to work hard, I also want to finally finish this period of my life called university.
After graduating, I plan to take a break for my last long summer vacations and focus on NeetTown. Then, I’d like to find a job in a gamedev industry.
And lastly, I have to mention this. I really love all the feedback from you guys. ❤
I made a second devlog, in which I explain what have I accomplished during last week. It’s fun to watch, I hope! I feel like my commentary has already improved since the first video.
Next video will be uploaded probably after Easter, because unfortunately this weekend is going to be very busy. As you know, I’m working on my MA thesis and I have to finish the first chapter this week. ( ≧Д≦)
Oh, and I’m looking for a name for the Kuromori’s top idol girl. I’m talking about it in the video. If you have any ideas, please share them!
Yesterday I was streaming for 4 hours and I thought it would be successful, because at some point even 11 people were watching me. It haven’t happened to me before when streaming gamedev! But unfortunately… the truth is… nobody followed my channel. (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)
During the stream I made some improvements to the roads and added basic textures to the Kuma House cafe, but I also modeled one nice thing, which is finally making Kuromori look like it is indeed located in Japan. It is… *epic drums playing*torii.
The famous Japanese gate. A landmark, a structure so typical for Japanese architecture that it only needs noodles hanging from its sides (not like hanging noodles are a typical piece of Japanese landscape). Saying it shortly, Kuromori is really J A P A N E S E now.
By the way, each part of a torii has its specific name and there also are few, also specific, types of them. I couldn’t just make whatever I want to, I had to remember about each little element. So the torii I made is a Kasuga type.
As you can see, it looks just like the one in game (alright, alright, I’m repeating myself, but I’m really proud of it).
Also, I’m hoping to upload my first dev vlog tomorrow if nothing stops me.
yesterday I launched my Patreonpage. It’s not that impressive yet, but I’ll continue to work on it. Let me just say that I’m surely going to appreciate any kind of a financial help. I don’t feel like I deserve it yet, but the page motivates me to work harder, so I will deserve it in the future. It really works that way. o(^▽^)o
Besides, you can find a post showing progress on my first 3D model of a character there.
